Arithmetic Unrevealed - Time Speed and Distance
Basics :
In the entire TSD chapter, the only theory you need to know is Distance = Speed * Time. 70% of the TSD questions appearing in CAT can be solved using Proportionality b/w Time, Speed and Distance. This is probably the most important and the most thought-intensive concept in this chapter.
Here in this blog, I'll be sharing few important shortcuts and tricks in TSD starting from basics to advanced level.
Basics - 1:
Starting with Relation between Speed and Time, they both are inversely proportional.
Having a basic understanding of percentages will help solving problems in various categories, especially TSD. Below i have attached an image to help get along with percentages. Believe me, remembering these values will surely help you save time during exam.

Basics-2 : Using LCM in TSD :
Q1) Two cyclists cover the same distance in 15 km/hr and 16 km/hr, respectively. Find the distance traveled by each, if one takes 16 min longer than the other does?
(In these type of questions were 2 speeds are given we can use LCM to get to the solution. Here is how it works 🠷🠷🠷 )
